About J3L
J3L Meat, LLC is a farm to table, small business locally operating in Umatilla and Grant Co. Oregon. Our goal is to produce high quality, ethically raised beef for the benefit of our animals and our customers.
We take pride in our gentle handling, free grazing and herd genetics that produce happy and healthy animals. All of our animals are sourced from J3L Ranch, LLC; a family owned business built from the culmination of generations of experience in the cow/calf industry.
Our Story
Hi, I'm Julia Livingston! My family has been in the ranching business for over five generations. My siblings and I purchased our family ranch in 2019 where my brother took on the managing position with my sister and me as equal partners, thus J3L Ranch, LLC was born. When I graduated from Washington State University in 2020, I returned to the ranch to work with Jarred.
In 2021 I raised steers to be sold off the hoof like many ranchers in the area do. I soon found that most people do not have the means or time to buy local beef in this way. To make the process more accessible to my community I went out and got the animals butchered at a USDA Certified processor in Oregon enabling me to to sell locally raised beef by the package.
